As I see on your site, you've removed the header from the theme and your current header was built-in via Elementor, have you confused?

It should works fine
Because child theme supports for modify header.php file.
Let's update the theme to latest version - check this guide
After updated the theme, copy again the header.php file from parent theme and paste to the child theme and edit it.
