Thank you, I also came to the conclusion that it is a Wordpress issue. I will upload to YouTube first, that seems to work.

Hi,
It seems the video widget from WordPress doesn't support for your video format.
So, please try use this plugin to embed your mp4 video to your site.

The video widget on the sidebar is not displaying a container but only the URL as text. I tried disabling various plugins but none of them seem to be causing problems. Are there any known plugins that would conflict with the theme? I updated the theme today to the latest version. I appreciate any help you can give me, thank you.
