Hi,
I checked on your site and add custom code to show video on your site.
I custom code on "/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/pennews/inc/post-format/video-format.php" file as screenshot http://prntscr.com/qfru9u, http://prntscr.com/qfrusu
Please backup the file before you update theme and all plugin come from PenNews theme
Please check it again

- Your admin url
- Your admin account ( username and password )

Yeah, The way video is displayed on the amp is not the same as on the desktop.
If you use link youtube, it doesn't work, please use iframe as screenshot http://prntscr.com/qez3kq

I have found something: 
on the pencil amp setting it is show the video. So in the desktop version is something wrong.

Creepy, did you change something? Now it works again all normal... I have nothing done.
Edit: 11:37 a.m. germany - It does not work again...
Edit: 12:58 a.m. - I have install wordpress 5.3 and it does not work. Update to 5.3.2 it not work. So, I do not know wheres the problem :(

Okay? But it work before the WordPress update... how can I fix this? I mean with my installation is all okay, it seems that WordPress changed something, and now you need to correction the code...
And when this function do not work, why is the iFrame thing of YouTube working? And twitter is working, Facebook, etc? All in the post, but not in this field?

It appears that "wp_oembed_get" function doesn't not work on your site. Please check or update core wordpress.

I don't know if this neccessary, but as I look on the post XXX and say Google Chrome to investigate, it shows me an error:

Please try choose post format is video and add add video you want show on post.

Please try re-save the post
Please deactivated all plugin ( excrept plugins come form the theme and try it again ) - If it work, let's enable each plugin to check what's plugin caused this issue.
If it doesn't work, let's send me your website managment information ( admin url site, username and password ) in order for me to have access to know the exact issue. We will take it a look on this help you.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have found a problem. Since I update the PenNews Theme the _format_video_embed field is not correct shown. It shows the URL of the Video but not the Video itself.
For Exemple:
https://animeheaven.de/von-tennisspieler-zum-koenig-der-otakus/
When I post the embled code, it will be shown.
Please help me!
