Please make sure you're using latest version of Soledad ( version 7.2.1 ) and try it again
Check this guide to know how to update the theme to latest version.

It turns out for SEO purposes, we do need to use page navigation by number.
We have it turned on for the Latest Posts widget at the bottom of our home page but the numbers don't work at all.
All plugins are turned off except for Elementor. See screenshot for navi numbers.
