thank you, got it. Its a bit of shame that you cannot remove it from other pages of the homepage because the user will now see the exact same content as he did on the homepage (first page).

may I ask how it is possible to have a different layout for each featured category on the homepage? Just like in this example: http://soledad.pencidesign.com/soledad-magazine
For me, all the featured categories show up as the first layout in the above example.
Is it possible to disable featured categories on other pages of the homepage? Just so they are visible on the homepage and not on the numbered pages, homepage/page-2/ etc.
