Hi,
To do that way, you need to make your site can't zoom in mobile. It's bad for your readers on mobile. I don't recommend you do that.

Setting the font-size of the input-field to a font-size of 16px (or larger).

Ok, and on other operating systems occurs this too, or only on IOS?

This is auto-zoom focus to input from iOS operating system and no way to stop it.

Hi,
When I use the search field on top and enter a line (in this case for example: "This is an example"), the cursor starts at the beginning of the search field (outside the screen). So my visitors dont see the beginning of what they're typing.
I use a iPhone 6s.
