AMP Ads in Content

I have activated the amp plugin of PenciDesign. I noticed that the plugin provides ad support for three positions
- Above the post meta
- Below post image
- Below content
What is lacking is the ability to put ads between content. On mobile, even a small article looks like a longform article. No ads in between the content itself is a bummer especially when the content is really long (say 1,000 words minimum).
Is there a way to place ads between content? As far as I remember, Google has removed 3 ads per page limitation, allowing publishers to add more ads. In longform content, Google itself injects ads in non-amp versions on mobile devices. So, having one extra ad in between content looks just fine for amp pages.
