Please close my question. The problem should be somewhere in my Wordpress environment.

I have two localhosts wordpress environments. Say some experimental and another one pre-production. Citylight demo install works on the experimental localhost but Elegance doesn't.

I decided to import the Elegance News to my localhost pre-production site and it worked without any problem.

So, the problem of not being able to install the wanted demo is still a question, but one for me.

Oh, one more thing. Before starting last try, I even changed the permissions to 777 on the whole wordpress directory.

Hi,

Changed the php time limit (site health info shows that it's set to 300). Retried to import demo data but still nothing.

No new demo posts, no new demo categories.

I noticed however that in the wp-content/upload the pictures of the Elegance News demo did arrive? But nothing else?

Hi,

For this case, please try to change the PHP time limit by opening the wp-config.php file, and adding the following content on the top of the file:

set_time_limit(300);

Save change & try to import demo data again.

Hello,

Tried to install a new demo, Elegance News. First removed previous data, then installed with content and demo style.

However, no new posts, no new categories, no change of home page. It took the usual time to install, a couple of minutes. No errors noticed.

Any idea ?

Hi,

I found another way to help you can do that at this moment.

And we will add more this feature in the next update version of Soledad - an option to help you can get those numbers.

To do that, please do follow steps:

1/ Go to Appearance > Widgets > drag & drop widget "Soledad Popular Posts" to "Custom Sidebar 5" ( or another Custom Sidebar if you want ) > and config it like the way you want.

2/ Go to edit your homepage by use Elementor > drag & drop element "Soledad Sidebar" to place you want to show the widget "Popular Posts" > and select "Custom Sidebar 5"

Is running on Linux localhost ... I will export database and create a subdomain on my website and import everything.

Via customize widget soledad-popular shows indeed popular posts and added circled numbers, see image

Adding penci widget with elementor, shows me latest posts, and i find nowhere how to select popular. And also the circled numbers are not shown. See other image

Yes, sure you can do that.

And of course you can use widgets when you use Elementor. For use a widget like widget "Soledad Recent Posts" - you can check element "Penci Widget Recent/Popular Posts" - check this image: http://prntscr.com/vrb8ya

Thanks for your answer.

I finetuned the Magazine theme via customize, but i want to adapt more things not possible via customize. So I created a static home page from scratch with elementor, but this method has not the widgets that has the default startup with latest posts...

I would like to ask if the theme Magazine could be dowloaded with a static homepage. The theme Finance Consulting does have this static homepage when downloading.

If you want to get your homepage static by use Elementor, you can check video tutorial here to know how to config it.

Hello,

Purchased Soledad and trying out on localhost some demos...

Magazine is a nice one, and Finance Consulting also.

Question : Finance Consulting creates a static page, Magazine doesn't. Is it possible to have a static page of the Magazine demo, not everything is reproducable recreating this homepage with Elementor, neither is adapting as i want possible with customize on the latest posts ...
