Hi,
Strange, because we don't do anything affect to the slider in the latest update.
I think your custom CSS code already caused the problems before but for some reasons, it has been overridden by the CSS from the theme, so you can't see it. It's really is the wrong CSS.

Hi,
First, please make sure you've clear all the caching before check it again. And open your site and press Ctrl + F5 to clear all the browsers caching - then check it again.
If the issue still appears - please send me your WordPress site admin URL and admin account ( username and password ) - in a private reply. I will take a look at this to help you.

Hi,
That seems 100% it's the issues with the file permissions. And you can't be updated any theme ( not our theme only ) if you don't solve the permission issues from your hosting, so please contact them and require them solve it.

PenciDesign
Sorry to be a pain.. but same issue but I feel we're getting closer. Using this method it gave the same 'file permission' issue but did identify two files. can you take a look at the error message this time:
Installing Theme from uploaded file: soledad.zipUnpacking the package…
Upgrading the theme…
Backing up the old version of the theme…
A backup zip file of the old theme version can be downloaded here.
Removing the old version of the theme…

Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 173
The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. inc/customizer/settings.php, inc/customizer/aaa.txt
Theme update failed.
Hi,
If you want to do manually updates, you can do follow this guide - it's the same with Soledad.

Is there another way to carry on with the update without going through the automated? I can just FTP in. I tried renaming the Soledad folder (v 7.3.6) and uploading the new version to a folder called Soledad. but when I do that some of the customization gets messed up.
Can I just FTP and only update the critical files and which ones would those be?
Hi,
As you can see on the errors that appear - it caused by the file permissions, the updates can't copy files from the servers.
With this issue, please contact your hosting provider and ask them about this - about permission issues.
Best Regards,
PenciDesign
Unfortunately it still doesn't work. I have removed the code off functions.php but throws the same error as you can see in the attached image.
Hi,
If you're using version 7.3.6 or lower - Please remove the code at the end of functions.php file like on this image: http://prntscr.com/uon4qx
After that, try it again.

Thanks for replying. I am using soledadVersion: 7.3.6
I have had some customizations done to the theme, but I can't imagine why that would would generate the file permission issue.

But I can't find anyplace to put it, please help me.
Hi,
What's the Soledad version you're using? And have you changed the theme name folder from soledad to another?
Best Regards,
PenciDesign
Installed the Envato update plugin and trying to update my theme but it is throwing the error:
Update failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.
Where would I modify the file permissions to allow for the update to proceed?
