If you want to do that for the homepage, let's use Elementor or WPBakery to config your homepage - and do like I said in my previous comment.
You can check this video tutorial to know how to config the homepage by using Elementor.

How do I make the header transparent on the homepage?
Hi,
You can do that by go to Pages > All Pages > edit any page you want to enable header transparent > scroll down on "Page Options" section and click on "Header" tab > and select to enable header transparent for that page here.
