Show only parent categories above post title

Hi,

The categories will show all categories you checked on the back-end. And now, we don't support any option for display parent category only.

Hi again,

I have several parent categories, almost each with subcategories.

For example:

Parent category.: Recipes
Subcategories: Sweet, Savory

I would like to show only parent categories (here; only Recipes) above the post title on the homepage, and not parent AND subcategory (here: Recipes AND Sweet) But I would still need the subcategories for the category page of the website to show all sweet recipes, without the savoury recipes.

Is this possible ?
