Yes I do have that thank you. I downloaded the Video Thumbnails plugin also which seems to work great with automatically setting a featured image.

Hi,
It's a post format. Seem you didn't know about post format from Wordpress.
To create a post format, please do following steps:
1/ Make sure you installed plugin Vafpress Post Formats UI - If not go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and install this plugin.
2/ Go to edit a post, you can see list tab above the posts title - check this image
Click to video tab and fill the necessary information

How do you get a featured image with a video icon? What do you mean by video format? Is that a plugin?

Hi,
The video format appears on the layout only apply for Standard & Classic layouts.
With other layouts, it doesn't appears - it just appears when you open the post detail.
And, you should set a featured image for all your posts - with video format, you will see a video icon on the featured images.

Hello, I've created a new post with a video embed and when the post appears on the home page there is no video image next to it, just text. How is that fixed?
