So it turns out that the slowness was because of the WP Fastest Cache plugin in the tutorial. The screenshot shows the option that was slowing down mobile loading. After disabling that option, mobile view would load instantly.

Thanks for the suggestions. It seems like something is taking a longer time to respond for mobile compared to the desktop version. I have implemented all the suggestions and the desktop version has a speed score of 100 but the mobile still seems to stay around a 72. I'll keep looking to see if there is something we can speed up but it is a pretty basic site.

Hi,

After research your page speed score on Google Page Speed insight, there are some personal recommendations to improve your speed on mobile.

1. Install the server level cache (Memcached, Varnish, ...) or use CDN to improve server response time,

2. Disable/deactivate/delete unused plugins,

3. Install the image optimize plugin for WordPress (EWWW Image Optimizer),

I'm not seeing that error... you might have got it during a small period where the php.ini file was changed. If you try again does it still show that?

I got this problem when access to your site on mobile - check image below:

It seems there is a problem with your hosting, let ask your hosting provider to solve this issue first. And try it again.

Conversation Start

I followed the optimization tutorial and the desktop version of the website loads amazingly fast! The only problem is that mobile users still have a long delay when loading pages and the optimization didn't seem to improve it as much as desktop pages.

Is there settings that should be enabled to optimize the mobile view of the theme?

If I tell my cell phone browser to request the desktop site it loads super fast but by default the mobile browser will be on the mobile version with is slower. Thanks for the help.
