Hi,

I mean: by default, our theme contains the function the_content() inside it when you edit that page by using Elementor.

But, your listings plugin you're using has been overriding the content template from our theme for that page: https://mummafitnessdirectory.com.au/submit-listing/ and making it can't be edited via Elementor. You can try to create a new page ( Example: Submit Your Listing ) and you can edit it normally.

With this problem, you should contact the author of the plugin and ask them about this. It's not a problem that can be controlled by our theme.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by this:

Hi,

1/ It seems your listing plugins has been overriding the template on:

https://mummafitnessdirectory.com.au/submit-listing/ and remove the_content() function inside it from the theme.

Have you selected to display this page somewhere inside your listing settings?

Let's try to create a new page and you can do that normal.

2/ Yes, you need to select static homepage via Reading options on "Homepage" select if you want to get a static page to display as the homepage.

These are the pages I'm trying to edit:

https://mummafitnessdirectory.com.au/submit-listing/ - this page is not selected in the Reading options to be home or blog page.

https://mummafitnessdirectory.com.au/ - this is the home page, which needs to be added as the static home page in the Reading options doesn't it?

Hi,

Please go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading > make sure the page you're using to edit it by using Elementor doesn't select here because it will be replaced with the template from WordPress itself and doesn't contain the_content() function and make Elementor can't edit it.

Hi, I am still getting the error when trying to edit the home page with Elementor. I have cleared my browser cache and the website cache.

I have used the 'short code' widget on the home page, and when I added it in and pressed 'apply', I received an error and had to exit out of my website.

Now whenever I try to edit a page that has used the shortcode widget (such as https://mummafitnessdirectory.com.au/ and https://mummafitnessdirectory.com.au/submit-listing/ ) I get the error that is in the attached screen shot.

All my plugins are up to date. If I deactivate the two plugins I have used that are using the shortcodes then I can edit the pages, however this is not ideal as I need these plugins active.
