In this case, you should use the font of Google from their host. It is fast & stable then uploaded to your hosting because Google delivers their font via many CDN servers in the world.
If you want to host the Google Fonts locally, please install the OMGF | Host Google Fonts Locally plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/host-webfonts-local/ and follow the instructions.

Hello,
I am now working on setting up my cookie banner. Being a total newbie, it has now occurred to me that because of the GDPR, it would seem better to host Google Fonts locally...
I understand that I need to upload all fonts used via: Dashboard > Soledad > Custom Fonts, which I think I did.
After that I go to Customize > General > GDPR Policy > "Remove all default google fonts - load default fonts from located hosting" and "Remove all default fonts loads by the theme from located hosting".
I had done that as well, but it doesn't work. The design/type of my site still changes.
Did I do something wrong or is there another way?
