No featured image when I choose the option of Gallery

Yeah, in this theme, for gallery posts format, it will displayed as a slider on your layout you're using.

\

If you want to make it displayed only featured images, please do following steps:

\

1/ Remove & change this codes like on this image.

\

2/ Add more this code:

 <a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" class="icon-post-format"><i class="fa fa-image"></i></a>\

A tip for you: You should go to Appearance > Widgets > edit widget "Instagram Slider Widget" in the footer and select Template for it is "Thumbnails - Without Border" - It will display better.

Yeah I tried that, but then the pictures become like a slider, and the visitors want to scroll down for all the pics. 

This is not about the pictures IN the gallery, but just the featured image (to show on the frontpage).

Am I forgetting a button or feature to press?

Hi Penci, 

Check this out, when I have chosen for the option of Gallery, the picture on the frontpage isn't there. See attachment.

(And I do have Vafpress Post Formats UI installed, still the same outcome)

Hi,

With gallery posts format, you need to pick images for your gallery. Seem you didn't install plugin Vafpress Post Formats UI - Let's go to Appearance > Install Plugins > install & activate this plugin.

After that, go to edit your gallery posts, see on the above the posts title, you can see button "Pick Images" to your gallery. Let's add the images for your gallery here and the gallery will displayed.

Hi everybody, finetuning the lovely Soledad theme op DailyBase.nl .

Q: > If I put a post on the option of Gallery, the image doesnt seem to appear on the frontpage (no featured image!). With the options of Video and Link etc. works fine. Whats going on here?
