Hi,
The current version of Soledad doesn't allow you to modify the Elementor template on the child theme, so if you want to customize it, you need to edit it directly on the parent theme.

I actually did use Elementor to build the page so do I need to copy that template file over into the child theme to make updates to it? I'd rather not touch the Soledad theme because my edits will get overwritten when upgraded.

This page was built with the page builder, so you can't modify it via the child theme. Please edit your page with the Elementor Page Builder by following the document here: https://soledad.pencidesign.net/soledad-document/#homepage
If you want to modify the template file, please follow this path:
wp-content/themes/soledad/inc/elementor/modules/penci-big-grid/widgets/based-post.php

Hi there, I'm using the Magazine/News theme and need to add some code in the Penci Big Grid block. Please see the attachment.
Where can I add this code? I would like to copy over some template files into a child theme and update it but it's not working.
