I got it. The server cache is not updated yet but I can see it all from Dashboard / Home / Visit Site. The problem the whole time was that your page for installing the demos does not appear to include the Game News by default listed alphabetically and to find it I had to enter "game" in the search box. It's all in the 4 annotated screen prints I added. Do you see the issue in the screen prints?

OK I'm not sure what you were looking at when you said I had an old version of the theme but I think I installed a fresh copy and fresh plugins right from the beginning. When I looked to import the Game News demo and I looked at the default page, it wasn't there listed alphabetically with the other versions of game data. You can see all that from my screen prints. Until you said type "game" in the search box, I never saw that option.

I usually run a production site and a test site with any new theme I'm using. Can I run a test site with an unactivated copy just to test sliders and stuff ?

Do you see the search box at the top of Import Demo Data page? If not, I'm sure you didn't update the plugin "Penci Soledad Demo Importer" - so, let's update it.

If you see the search box at the top of the Import Demo Data page, let's fill keywords: "Game" to find the demo - and you should see it.

Hi,

Please go to Appearance > Install Plugins ( NOT Plugins > All Plugins ) > make sure you've updated all the recommend plugins there.

I don't want to install any extra plugins that I don't need like the "envato market" plugin. It adds another vulnerability right? I bought the theme, I downloaded it from envato like an hour ago, and I installed the zip to my website. So you have "a very outdated version" of Soledad on Envato for people like me to download? How do I see the version number when wordpress updates says it's up to date and requires no update?

Hi,

It seems you're using an very outdated version of Soledad. Please make sure you're using the latest version of Soledad - version 8.2.8 and try it again ( you can check this guide to know how to update the theme to the latest version - remember to do step 4 after updating the theme. )

After that, try it again.

I've checked it again and I see the demo still there:

Been using WP since 2008, HTML since 1993. New project and I picked Soledad for it. Went to install demo for "Game News 2 sidebars" (https://demosoledad.pencidesign.net/soledad-game-news-two-sidebars/) and it's not on the demo list.
