Hi,
If you want to do that, you can use Penci Slider - It's a custom slider doesn't based on posts. You can pick any image and link like you want.
To config Penci Slider, please do following steps:
1/ Make sure you installed Penci Slider plugin - if not, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and install this plugin.
2/ Go to Dashboard > Penci Slider > Add New > and add your slides here.
3/ When you done, go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > on "Featured Slider Style" > select "Penci Slider Style 1" or "Penci Slider Style 2"

Hi again.
Quick Q: is it possible to put in the featured slider on front page links to pages not to posts? Obviously with the featured images of the pages.
If not possible by featured slider integreated in customization then maybe you can give me a similar solution with the look of featured slider but of some custom pages.
