1. There is no way to do that without the plugin,
2. Please go to Appearance → Customize → Custom CSS then add the following custom CSS code:
body.author .archive-box span {
display: none;

So besides using that specific plugin which has been updated last year, is there any other way? Perhaps on the next theme update could that possibly be resolved?
Also how can i Remove "Author:" Words on Author Pages ? There are only choises for tags and category.
