Now like post icon looks right and users knows what it is at a glance.

please add a thumbs down counter beside it in next theme update

because users should be able to down vote a post also..

Please go to Appearance → Customize → Custom CSS then add the following custom CSS code:

.post-share-item.post-share-plike .fa-heart-o:before {
 content: '\\f087';
}
.post-share-item.post-share-plike .liked .fa-heart-o:before {
 content: '\\f164';
}

Here's the snapshot from Newspaper theme which has a 6 digit sales.

To make a quick fix

Just send me CSS to REPLACE the like post icon to THUMBS UP OUTLINE ICON.

As I said before, HEART SHAPE ICON IS IN CONFLICT WITH WISHLIST ICON.

This creates unnecessary confusion. Thumbs up is the defacto standard for LIKE POST ICON.

I BELIEVE Soledad is competing with Newspaper, Jnews themes. I own Jnews and VideoREV themes etc,

I am attaching screen captures to show you why the LIKE POST button should be part of the post meta group.

Although it looks nice looking at it.

Intuitively , Social Network sharing and LIKE POST do not belong to the same section.

In this post meta UI placement design department

JNEWS meta design makes a lot of sense. it follows youtube style.

Especially I am building a video based siter

I have to adhere to the industry standard.

Hi,

If you want to move the like icon, you would need to modify many template files, and any customization would be lost when you update Soledad to the latest version.

If you agree with these conditions, I can send you a quick tutorial with a guide on how to modify PHP/JS files. You would need to modify them yourself on your site.

Your just gave me your personal preference.

Unfortunately it is not your site we are talking about.

So please tell me how to move the like icon element to the meta group.

Hi,

At Soledad, we put the like button on the group with the social share. I think it is a better UX than locating at the post meta.
