Hi,

1. In your post content, if you add the table of content, the heading tag will add the link to help the visitor can scroll into this section faster.

For example, the heading name "A good text", it will become: "https://example.com/post-link#penci-a-good-text".

2. You should use TOC for posts only.

PenciDesign.

Hello,

Could you please explain 2nd point more breifly. I didn't understand it clearly.

Also I want to know, whether the table of contents is adviced to be added just for the post or for the pages as well?

Hi,

1. Maximum Level of Table of Contents: It allows you to control how many levels of headings or subheadings are included in the generated table of contents.

For example, if you set the "Maximum Level of Table of Contents" to 3, the table of contents will only include main headings (e.g., H2 → H3 → H4). Any subheadings beyond this level will not be listed in the table of contents. This option is useful for controlling the depth and complexity of the table of contents, particularly for longer documents or articles with many subsections.

2. This is a prefix text for the heading link on the table of contents. For example, the heading title name: "A good name", will add the link "#penci-a-good-name" and HTML ID name "penci-a-good-name".

PenciDesign.

Hello,

It did worked. I just need to know about two settings in "Table of Contents" - Maximum Level of Table of Contents, Link Anchor Prefix.

What are the functions of these settings in "Table of Contents"?
