If you want to do like this, please go to Appearance > Menus > click on "Custom Links" > fill the URL is "#"
And replace with your parent menu items - here is an example: http://prntscr.com/jdxnqm

Hi, I’m still having trouble with the drop down menus on my site. When I look at the Soledad demos and click on a menu item I get a drop down list of sub categories, but on my site It goes straight to the main category and does not give the viewer the drop down list of sub categories. If they work on your demos while using my iPad, I’m inclined to believe it’s not just the settings on my ipad and it is happening to everyone trying to view my site. When I wrote to you the first time this was the reason given to me. Please help me fix this issue.
