I followed your instructions, but it appears that feature images still appear at the top of the page.  ie. what's happening on this page.  It seems it has pulled an image from the page and set it as a featured image.

I can't figure out how to hide the featured image on pages.  I went to customize > general > general setting > and toggled off Auto Get Featured Image from Post Content.  But, I still have featured images generated at placed at the top of the pages.  I'd like to be able to hide or not have any featured image at the top of some pages please let me know how I do this.
