If your page was created with the Elementor Page Builder, you can fix this issue by going to the query settings → turn on the "Avoid Duplicates" option:

Hi - I have page that lists an authors/categories posts, and it keeps repeating the top two elements on subsequent pages created by the pagination.
I don't want that to happen. Is there a way to suppress these elements so that they don't repeat and I just get additional stories.
