You can modify all the settings in the Yoast SEO plugin without affecting the theme features.

I came across Yoast SEO > Advanced > Crawl Optimization which may solve the google crawl issues.
Please advise if I allow all these settings will this effect any features for the theme. I have attached two images showing the settings which I want to allow. Concerning what's shown on image 3 attached. If this in your opinion is acceptable to change.
