Hi,
1. The current version of Penci Review has already modified the maximum review score to 5.
2. You CAN'T adjust the ratingValue to be larger than 5 because Google will flag it as an error.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Great, now it works as it should.
How do I change so I can use another scale than 1-5 as suggested in https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/review-snippet ?
I cleared all cache and did run the google tool again. Still same error?
yes, I want it removed, since it have no purpose for us
Here is some google results to show how wrong it looks on our site (4 reviews !?) and from another site where the markup is correct.
Hi again,
The wrongly hardcoded image is fixed. That is good. But regarding the other problems.
1. It is no problem at all to use other scale than 1-5. Here is what google say about rating ( from https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/review-snippet ) : reviewRating.ratingValue: "A numerical quality rating for the item, either a number, fraction, or percentage (for example, 4, 60%, or 6 / 10). Google understands the scale for fractions and percentages, since the scale is implied in the fraction itself or the percentage. The default scale for numbers is a 5-point scale, where 1 is the lowest value and 5 is the highest value. If another scale is intended, use bestRating and worstRating."
2. I dont understand why AggregateRating is used for average rating? This is not needed. There are no user reviews, there is only one review with one rating from the author, but since AggregateRating is used it looks in search results like there are multiple reviews from users instead of one from the author.
They are "valid" but still very wrong. Read my first msg
They use aggregateRating which we dont use, so it messes up the search result.
They have wrong image? ( www.example.com / seafood-restaurant.jpg which seems like hardcoded in schema-markup.php ? )
They show rating 1-5 instead of 1-10?
cache cleared. Same problem.
Disabled caching plugins. Same problems.
I tried different reviews too. All have some problem.
I upgraded to 3.3. Same problem.
There is no notification for any updates and we are using Version 3.2.1
We use Soledad / Penci review and when we review products, Google wrongly assumes that there are multiple reviews and uses "aggregateRating" instead of "review," which makes our reviews look odd in the search results. And when checking the google tool for rich results it seems like the review schema is found multiple times on each review?
For example:
https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=TSitByVnwwqg1-r93VpKEQ
Additionally, we use a 1-10 scoring system, but in the search results, this is converted to a 1-5 scale.
How can we fix these problems?
