Yeah, if you want to override the theme files in the future. You can use child theme from now

But in future we will probably have a developer make changes to the site, so it's probably a good idea to use the child theme just in case, right?

Hi,

I think you don't need to use child theme. Child theme use for web developers want to override the files to parent theme

Do I need to install the child theme zip file separately and activate that theme instead of the main theme? Is that better than using the main theme?
