I identified the cause of the problem with the loading of the Widgets page (/wp-admin/widgets.php). It was related to the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. After disabling it, the Widgets section started working normally again.

Hi,

The Widgets section in my WordPress admin panel has stopped loading properly. When I try to access it, the page either remains blank or shows a loading spinner indefinitely. This issue started recently and I haven't made any major changes to the site.

Hi,

I’ve checked your site, and the issue was caused by the Soledad Social Counter widget. Your server is having trouble connecting to the Facebook and X.com APIs, which caused the widget to load slowly and resulted in a critical error page.

I’ve resolved the issue by switching to Classic Widget Mode and removing the Social Counter widget.
If you want to display your social media profiles, please use the social icons widget via the Customizer instead of the live counter to avoid this issue.

I'm experiencing multiple technical issues after installing and activating the Soledad theme on my WordPress site.

Main problems:

The Widgets section (Appearance > Widgets) crashes completely with the message:
“There has been a critical error on this website.”
We are seeing multiple PHP warnings related to the Twitter counter module inside the theme.
From the server logs:PHP Warning: Undefined array key "twitter_api_key"
PHP Warning: Undefined variable $key in /themes/soledad/inc/social-counter/counter-twitter-api.php on line 32
fter installing the theme, our server CPU usage jumped to 90–100% and remains high consistently, even with low website traffic. This only started after Soledad was activated.
In CyberPanel (OpenLiteSpeed), we are also receiving intermittent errors such as:
No request delivery notification has been received from LSAPI application, possible dead lock.
Deactivated other heavy plugins (like auto-posting to Twitter).
Increased PHP limits (memory_limit, max_execution_time, etc.).
Restarted OpenLiteSpeed and PHP services.
Checked for malware or abusive bots — nothing unusual found.
How to completely disable the Twitter Social Counter without generating PHP warnings?
Is there a known issue with the Widgets section and Soledad in current versions?
Is the theme known to cause high CPU usage on LiteSpeed servers?
Do you recommend disabling any modules or features to improve performance?

Hello,

I’m currently experiencing a critical error when I try to access the Widgets section in the WordPress dashboard. The following message appears:

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

I have already tried basic troubleshooting steps, such as checking for plugin conflicts and ensuring WordPress is up to date. However, the issue persists.

Could you please help me identify the cause and guide me on how to fix it?
I'm using the Soledad theme along with several related plugins by PenciDesign, and a few others like Advanced Custom Fields, Advanced Editor Tools, and Code Snippets.
