I’ve fixed the issue—it was related to the multilingual plugin.
In the future, if this problem happens again, please go to Appearance → Customize → General → Extra Options, then click the "Fix Polylang Translations Issues" button.

Hi there,
I "hide" the social share buttons and also select hide page title. The moment I do so, they also rightfully disappear in the preview. I save / publish the change. After revisiting the page (or refreshing) the buttons are there again... Funniliy enough the hide button is still activated. I can now unhide and hide again, but exactly the same problem occurs... Any idea? I fear more selections may be affected?
