I’m still a little confused about why it did not work when I used the Code Editor. I inserted a snippet of the code there, and within the WordPress editor, it looked exactly the same as the demo post.

Could you please explain why it behaves differently when added through the Code Editor?

I’m having a problem with Penci Recipe / Soledad recipe posts.

I originally edited an existing demo recipe post, and that first post displayed correctly. After that, when I tried creating new recipe posts manually or by using a post duplicator plugin, the recipe content and comments would not display properly on the front end.

What I tested:

• I confirmed recipe fields are filled in
• I found and tried the [penci_recipe] shortcode
• If I place [penci_recipe] in the main WP editor/code editor, only the regular article text shows on the front end. The actual recipe card content does not appear, including ingredients, instructions, and notes
• If I place shortcode-related recipe elements inside recipe subfields such as Ingredients, Notes, or Instructions, I get a 500 internal server error
• I noticed the Ingredients and Notes sections can be set as Visual Editor fields in Recipe Options, but enabling those does not solve the display issue
• The first demo-based post worked, but new posts do not
• I also tested a post duplicator plugin, and duplicated posts still do not display the recipe properly. This makes me suspect the required Penci Recipe data or post meta is either not being copied or not being recognized on duplicated/new posts
•  I also verified that all required and relevant plugins were active, including the Penci Recipe plugin, and that the Penci theme is updated to the latest version.

What I need to know:

1. What is the correct way to create a brand-new recipe post from scratch in Soledad/Penci Recipe?
2. Is [penci_recipe] required in the main post content for every recipe post?
3. Should recipe shortcodes ever be used inside Ingredients / Instructions / Notes fields, or are those fields only for plain recipe data?
4. Why would [penci_recipe] fail to render the actual recipe card even when recipe fields are filled in?
5. Are duplicated posts expected to copy all required Penci Recipe fields and post meta, or is there a specific duplication method recommended for recipe posts?
6. Why would using recipe shortcode-related content inside recipe fields trigger a 500 error?
