You can add separate excerpt content by entering custom content in the Excerpt field on the post editor screen.

For the "Pencil Latest Posts" module, is it possible to customize the featured excerpt?
In most of my articles, I always have a "Summary" and a "Key Points" section. So, this excerpt very often repeats the words "Summary" or "Key Points," which isn't ideal.
