Can not select categories in build query of portfolio items

Oh... But it would make more sense to display that category no matter what. Because I have to prepare all pages for client, so he enters only portfolio items in it. Is that possible?

Hello.

After theme update I still have problems displaying only certain catregories in portfolio section. I created portfolio categories and when I enter build query, I can not select categories I want... Help me please, this is not good for my client.

You were explaining that to me before, but now it does not work again.

If so, you need check again your code, make sure your site is not under construction.

That's guide from Google and we doing exactly like google said.

Hi,

I just go to Customize > Portfolio Options > on "Portfolio Detail" > change it to 2 sidebars.

Check this image

Now, seem everything is fine.

No, there were two sidebars, as set in left and right sidebar in appearance widgets. Now only one.

Now it seems fine... But almost all settings were lost after updating theme. Logo, css, everything.

I will check the rest and notify you if i run into problems. Thanks for helping.

Now when I open portfolio item, it opens it without sidebars, with just portfolio item image and text. No sidebars...

Hi,

I just updated all the plugins to latest version. You didn't update the plugins after updated the theme.

Please note for next times: After updated the theme - let's go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and update all plugins come with this theme ( most important is plugin Penci Framework )

This theme just required WPBakery Page Builder & Penci Framework.

Also, you can deactivate all plugins except plugins come with the theme.

I must note that I dont have the latest version of the theme installed. There are too many pencidesign plugins activated. Web site will stop working if I deactivate all??

As I see on the options, seem your google analytics is missing.

The code for google analytics will look like this:

I see you're missing:

If you've puted that code and when saved it, the code hide - let's try deactivate all plugins and try it again. Maybe you have a plugin caused this issue.

I paste full code in footer options in google analytics field, but after saving settings I see only this is saved (see attachment please). I dont think my site is being tracked.

Hi,

Of course. It's safe - that's auto-updates.

You can update this theme by go to Appearance > Themes > click to "Update Now" button.

When it done, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and update all plugins come with this theme which you're using. You don't lose anything after update the theme.

Yes, when I type in taxonomies, it recognizes my portfolio categories :) Thank you.

Another question: I use 1.1 version of theme. Is it safe to use autoupdate feature??? I have lot of posts, custom css, logotype and theme settings already set. I dont want web site to change or to stop working. Is it safe to update?

Hi,

Have you try fill on Taxonomies here? Because Portfolio categories is taxonomies - It's not on Categories. The Categories box just for posts categories only. Do you understand?

No. Those are portfolio categories. No taxonomies option in Add new project. I remember maybe in first version of theme it worked. But now it can not see my portfolio categories, even when I tick portfolio in build query section of portfolio block of your theme. Please take a look at screenshot once more. Also, where to input taxonomy for project. It only has category and subcategory...

I want to display only specific categories in portfolio block, but it displays every category, because it doesnt recognize them as I type. It recognizes post categories and other taxonomies, but not portfolio categories in portfolio block??? Please help asap. Thank you.

Hi,

You need to fill on "Taxonomies" - That's not categories.

I created few portfolio categories. Then I add to page block Portfolio. In build query I type category name, but I only get spinner and category name does not show... How to solve this???
