Hi,
To do that, we need to edit multiple php files and it doesn't take short time. So, we don't provide support for requirements like that.
Also, we have a lot of suggest features from all other customers - we can't do all. That's why we need to consider to add more each feature.

Is there no work around for this? Really seems like for a news theme this would be a feature?

I can't seem to figure out a way to show the time of posts on penicblocks? Seems like an odd omission.
They show date by default but no time, is this something you could look at adding as an option as when posting multiple times a day showing the time is really important.
