Hello,

thank you for your answer. I acutally do not upload images with a size oof 1-2MB. Normally i resize them with photoshop to 1200px width and reduce the quality to get a size of about 100-200KB. Then i do upload them. That makes an overall image size of normally about 1MB for each page what is totally okay for me. High quality images are very important for me.

Further i do not use any plugins to optimize my images.

The image you see in the attachment "2images.png" on the right side is an image that has a size of 136KB and looks quite sharp. But the one displayed in the theme (left side) is not sharp. I see that the theme uses instead the uploaded file "heiden.jpg" with 136KB the cropped file "heiden-1170x777.jpg" which is with 151KB even bigger as my uploaded file and looks blurry.

Strange thing is, that when i download the image "heiden-1170x777.jpg" and open it on my desktop it looks sharper than the exact same one displayed in the theme. You can see the differrence in the new attachment "attachment-2.png".

 - Is there anything i can do to get good sharp image quality?

 - Is there an optimal resolution the images i upload should have?

 - What is the best preparation with photoshop for Soledad theme?

Kind regards

Hi,

Because we need to crop your images to display it good for all your layouts.

We can't display the original images on your site, why? Because it will make your site very very slow for load - Imagine that, you have 10 images display on your site with each images has size like you upload ( each images has size about 1-2MB ) - so, 10 images will take about 10 -20MB. It will drop your site speed to more than 10s to load. Let's thinking about that, your readers, who can wait for it?

One more thing, do you use any plugin to optimize images? It can make your images drop the quality.

For another example, you see it here in the attachment.

Hello,

i noticed that with the resolution 1920x1080 on a 24 inch display (BenQ GL2450) in different browsers all my images are blurry. Until now i used the resolution 3840x2160, there was no problems. I assume, there's something going wrong with the rescaling of the images.

For example at https://bodenlago.de/hoernle/ the image hoernle-saentis.jpg is blurry while bodenlago.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/hoernle-saentis.jpg is sharp. Further, for example the size bodenlago.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/hoernle-saentis-1170x777.jpg is blurry.

What can i do to prevent the theme from rescaling my images to blurry versions? Or what is the best size for the images to be upload to prevent rescaling to blurry versions?

Kind regards
