Hi,

I checked on yours site.

It seems that you have activated the "Vafpress Post Formats UI" plugin. Please install and active the plugin.

Then go to edit , you will see post pormats admin UI as screenshot : http://prntscr.com/lp7t37 and go to video tab, enter video url.

pennes news theme are used on both website, wtbnnews.org using breaking news and firstmediatv.net using video news

1) wtbnnews.org is a production site with multi-languagne dashboard setting, please choose English when you login, or choose from top-left corner to switch the dashboard language.

2)firstmendiatv.net is still underconstruction , not open to public yet.

I did a test again, for #1,2,9 posts style,only style #1 the "disable featured image" function work (for a regular non-video post)

Hi,

The website is http://wtbnnews.org. I am using "Breaking News" style on the web. Another web I am developing using " Video News" style of the theme. It's not online yet.

Here is a screen shot of my video post, the featured image above the embed youtube video is the place I like to have the option to disable the featured image. I have also tested local loaded video, the result still the same.

I have tried your suggested method 2 and 3, but none of them work yet. if the method 2 and 3 work, I don't really need to disable the showing of the featured image.

I tried "Disable Parallax Images on Single Posts" under customization, or "Disable parallax featured image for this post" under the post, or both.

BTW, it looks like for a regular post, the "disable featured image" feature does not work for post style 1,2,9 either.

Hi,

1. Please send me your screenshot position you want disable the featured image on my video post.

2. On single post , we using parallax image and video. It will show image when video not loaded yet.

If you want using parallax, please go to Customize > Single Post Options > check "Disable Parallax Images on Single Posts" option as screenshot http://prntscr.com/lobgvw

3. If you want use video news played on pop up lightbox, please use Penci Block Video and Penci Single Video shortcode http://prntscr.com/lobi39

I am using the "PenNews – Multi-Concept News/Magazine AMP WordPress Theme". I have tried the default setup, the "Breaking News" style for http://wtbnnews.org, and "Video News" (Video Hub) style for a site not launched yet.

1) I would like to have the option to disable the featured image on my video post. (This question had been asked by other user on forum, but answer not displayed.)

2) On you demo web http://pennews.pencidesign.com/pennews-video-news/,

when I clicked on a video, the featured image showed up first for a few second on top of the post , then the video played on the same position. It looks like you are using style 10.

I tried all the options I could choose (from style 1 to 10), but can't achieve the same result. I would like to show the video on the featured image position. Please help me solve this problem.

3) On you demo with the default style, video news played on pop up lightbox. What plugin was used? I am tring to use the same plugin to avoid compatibility issue.
