Hi,

I found the issues.

This issues caused by you're using VC to build your posts by use VC shortcodes - and the posts excerpt will remove all shortcodes inside it.

Here is the way to add excerpt for posts when you using VC, from documentation of VC. Please check it.

I do not have any plugins deactivated. Could you tell me which one would be causing the problem?

This issue caused by you did deactivate a plugin make that shortcodes display.

Thank you for your reply. I actually want the excerpt showing on all of them, I just hid them in the mean time because the site is live. How would I go about showing the excerpts and not the image shortcode?

Hi,

I think you should hide posts excerpt to make it look like other posts. You can do that by go to Customize > Other Layout Options > and check to "Remove Post Excerpt"
