Hi,
Gutenberg has been integrated to Wordpress 5.0.. That's why Wordpress tell with all customers tested with Gutenberg before Wordpress 5.0 released..
Anyway, our developers looking close on this issues to find what's exactly problems. Will get back to you when it done.
Also, please try disable all shortcut key here and try it again and let me know if it work.

That thread you linked is from 2017 and is about Gutenberg. I'm not using Gutenberg.

We can't do anything on this because that's issues from Wordpress, we need to wait Wordpress fixed it..

My Wordpress post editor is extremely laggy/slow and glitchy. The cursor jumps to the beginning of the paragraph every time I try to type. The typing either types backwards, lags or glitches. It's very frustrating!
