Hi,

Please check:

1/ Deactivate all plugins and try it again. Maybe you have a plugin caused this issue. After it work, let's enable each plugin to check what's plugin caused this issue.

2/ Let's check on "Excerpt" box - have you fill your custom excerpt there?

Check this video tutorial to know where is Excerpt box.

When I set 'Custom Excerpt Length' it doesn't actually do anything. I've attached a screenshot to show the Custom Excerpt Length set to 10 but you can clearly see the Excerpt Length is much longer than 10 from the screenshot I've attached. Any help would be massively appreciated.
