Strange, Make sure that you choose menu have categories you want show on sidebar as screenshot http://prntscr.com/m2f0jy

thanks for the that i was hoping there was some way for the list to auto update when i add a category

i have created some menus but when ever i try and add custom side bar to a category page it dose not change the side bar at all i have edited the category and selected custom side bar.

i have made a menu just for foreign-artists but i cant get it to just be that only

Hi,

If you want display certain categories, please go to Appearance > Menu, create menu have categories you want show on sidebar,

then go to Appearance > Widgets , add "Navigation menu" widget and choose menu categories

is it possible to only display certain categories in the sidebar or have the side bar only open the current category list
