Hi @lpgreen2,

If you've built your site with Elementor, you can change the image size on the Element content settings.

For example, you can change the image ratio of Penci Big Grid at Content → Adjust Ratio of Images( Unit % ) and image size at the Custom Image Sizes section.

Featured Images on home page are not all the same size, where's the setting to make them all the same like other themes do out of the box?

Hi,

Yeah, as I said in my previous comment. We don't want to create multiple image sizes because most customers don't want to create multiple image sizes on their hosting..

If you want to do that, please do following steps:

1/ Add more this code:

add_image_size( 'penci-fullsmall-thumb', 770, 99999, false );

like on this image.

2/ Change the code like on this image

3/ Do regenerate the thumbnails again.

But if maximum displayed size is 770px shouldn't be created thumbnail with that size and used on home page?
Resizing from 1170px will always generate extra transfer and decrease page loading time.

Hi,

I see it already resized to 1170px width - example: http://prntscr.com/mtzmfb

Because some customers don't want to create too much images size on their hosting. So, we've optimized the size from the theme to smallest.

With that layout - if we don't resize to 1170px width - when someone use this layout with no sidebar - it will make image blurry.. I think use 1170px width there is fine.

For all images doesn't regenerate size => that origin image doesn't enough 1170px

Images are displayed (and thumbnails are regenerated), the problem is that they are only resized from full image. Why use full image for homepage grid styles?

Hi,

Have you regenerate thumbnails for this theme after activated the theme?

We've said about that in the documentation for Soledad theme here

By default, the theme will auto crop/resize the images to make it display good for all places on your site

Hi, do you know how to force Homepage Layout to use thumbnails, not full size?

Basic size is like 600px but theme uses full size images and resize them. Leaving multiple unoptimized images affects negatively site performance.

As new feature it would be great if new thumbnails could be generated when specific Homepage Layout will be chosen.
