That did the trick, following your instructions. There is a LOT of features and options to the PenNews theme.  Knowing all the features, where they are located, how to set them, and so on - is overwhelming at first.

However, your Support has been awesome! I get an answer from you guys/gals ALWAYS within 24 hours. (Don't know about weekends though, haha.)

I would make one suggestion though. In the Admin panel for widgets, front page, header, etc. - if you Hover over an Option in the Left Admin Panel, it would be nice if the Right Panel showing the "Page" would get a (yellow?) surrounding Highlight for the item and location it controls or modifies. Same for Pop-up editing controls too.  This would greatly benefit new users to the theme, etc.

Hello Penci Team!

I have everything working good together (PenNews, bbPress and BuddyPress) except for one problem.

The problem is I can find no way to assign the BuddyPress widgets or elements (Recently Active Members, Friends, and Groups) to the Homepage for the Right Sidebar.

When I edit the Homepage and try to add a widget to the 3rd column (right sidebar), the only choices are for Penci widgets or elements. There are no BuddyPress options.

I even tried the Page Options (Use the options below for this page Check Box) to select sidebar options, but they do not work for the Homepage.

I absolutely need the BuddyPress widgets in the Right Sidebar but cannot get it to display or work.

Thanks for getting back.  I did eventually find where and how to make the changes on my own.  Just took looking and digging deeper into the Theme's admin controls, plus some trial and error to figure out.

But I do have ANOTHER question.  Can the BuddyPress plugin be used with the PenNews theme?  In other words, is the PenNews theme BuddyPress aware so I can easily use the BuddyPress features of Groups, Members and Forum?

If not, any plans to update PenNews to be BuddyPress aware and compatible to provide styling and control for those functions and features?

I am trying to find and locate how to add and/or delete posts or pages to the Homepage Featured Slider.

I installed the Demo data for "Break News" and it has 2 slides/pages for the featured slider on the Homepage.  At this time I only want one slide to show (5 Items = 1 Big Left image, 4 Items Right images) and nothing for the second slide.

I tried deleting (permanently) all Posts for the second slide, thinking that would remove items from the slider for the second slide, but that only creates gray placement holders and the slider continues to slide through or loop.

So, how do I control what posts (add/remove) from the Featured Slider on the Homepage?  I tried reading the documentation as well as go through all the PenNews options (Homepage, posts, etc.) but cannot find anything about the Homepage Featured Slider...
