Logic of "Popular Posts in once month". when you choose order by Popular Posts in once month.The block will display the article that is known to be viewed a lot during the month. http://prntscr.com/nle4q2

I'm using the Popular Posts to build my query for a Penci Block 11.
Looks like there are 3 options
Popular Posts in once month
Popular Posts in once week
Popular Posts of all time
But when I use "popular posts in once month" its still showing a post from 2011? Is this pulled from how many comments are on the post? If so, we have posts with way more comments than what are showing?
