Yeah, seem it's not true on the sidebar widget, but when you use this widget, you need to select social media you will use to display it. I think no any customer select socials media while don't have it.

Please update the instructions under Appearance > Social Media to remove the phrase "Icons will not show if left blank" since that is not true.

I see on your site, it's display correct. You can see it displayed on the sidebar because your widget "Soledad Social Media" selected to display Instagram. Please go to Appearance > Widgets > on "Main Sidebar" > Soledad Social Media > un-check on "Instagram".

The social media settings available under the Social Media Options page are not working as documented. Specifically, though all social media links are completely blank except for Twitter, email, and RSS feed, the FaceBook and Instagram icons are still visible on our site - and when users click on them they link back to our website homepage.
