Hey there,

I was looking for this solution as well but now that I've followed these steps, I get a message when clicking play on the video thumbnail that says "youtube.com refused to connect." 

However I can play the video when I go to the actual post page itself. For reference, the website is airportir.com and the videos in question are at the bottom of the home page in the 'Open Mic' category.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

This showed play icons on the video posts in the featured category.

Hello, thanks for your reply. Now I see, that clicking on the featured image plays the video. What made me confused, is that in the featerud posts section, there is no "play" button on top of the featured image, but video is still being played after clicking on that image. However this button is visible in the latest post section (see attachments). Is it possible to display "play" button on top of the post featured image in the featured posts section?

1. I created a video format post.

2 I enabled click thumbnail to play video via Customize > Other Layout Options > Enable Click on Posts Thumbnail to Play Video.

3. I filled the video URL textbox in the edit screen of the video post.

Unfortunately the video thumbnail is not displayed in the latest post section, nor in the featured category section (I use magazine style 2). Instead, the post featured image is displayed, unless it is not set, in which case empty image is "displayed", but only in featured category (see attachments)

Your help would be appreciated.
