Strangely when I do that and then save it, the colour code gets cleared from that box in wordpress and the text still appears black. But, I did manage to use the code you provided and edit the widget one on the top right and that one did work. I attached a pics to show you.
I am happy with that. Maybe Wordpress don't want you to add colour in that box or something.

Tried that and it worked, just wondering if it's possible to have it be a different colour to the regular font colour so it is obvious that it is a clickable link? Pic attached.

I want to add a clickable link in my author box to my 'about me' page but I have been trying for some time and it hasn't worked. Please can you advise what I am doing incorrectly?
