I add custom css to fix the issue http://prntscr.com/pdn3jg. Please check it again.
I will add more this fix to the next update version of PenNews.

No need for that, I just found out that the same problem happens with your account once it has an avatar assigned (see attachmments).

I'm now testing from a different computer and it's misaligned as well. Also happens when browsing the desktop site in my cell phone.
My computers are running Windows 7 and Windows 10 and my cell phone uses Android, in case it's relevant and you're using Mac/iOS.
