Hi,
No - don't delete the child theme - you just need to update parent theme only.
When the parent theme has updated, you can activate again child theme.

Thanks, but as I am on an earlier version, I don't have that option (see screen shot attached).
So I read the instructions and it says to activate another theme, delete Soledad, install the zip file and activate it. That's ok as I know how to do that, but I don't know if at the same time as deleting the parent theme I should delete the Child theme or not do that?

Hi,
No - you don't need to update child theme.
To update the theme, you just need:
- Go to Appearance > Themes > click "Update Now" button and wait until it done.
- Go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and update all plugins come with the updates.
That's all.

I am about to update the theme to the latest version.
Before I do this, I just want to run past a question I have from this article > https://pencidesign.ticksy.com/article/11593/
specifically for this point:
b) Once you’ve activated another theme, still within Appearance > Themes, click on Soledad's thumbnail > in the bottom right corner is a little option to “Delete” the theme. Go ahead and delete it.
*Do I delete both the Child theme and the Parent theme or just the Parent theme?
I just want to avoid loosing any customization I have in place.
